The Master-Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been a household name for the Indian audience from the last 35 years due to the fact he has done wonders for his national side over the years. The legendary cricketer who retired in 2013 has represented the Mukesh Ambani-owned side Mumbai Indians since its inception till his retirement.

However, 10 years after he hung his boots, his son Arjun Tendulkar has been handed his maiden cap for the Mumbai-based franchise that his father represented with pride and is even their icon, currently.

With Arjun's debut, they have become the first father-son duo in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history to don their jersey.

Sachin represented Mumbai Indians in about 78 games where he scored over 2000 runs at an average of 33 with one century to his name.

Whereas the young Tendulkar is fairly new to the circuit with just 9 T20 games under his belt as he has managed 12 wickets being a left-arm pacer. Further, he has played for Mumbai previously but later, moved to Goa in search of more opportunities.

Arjun was bought by MI for ₹30 Lakhs in 2022 auction after earlier getting him for ₹20 Lakh base price in 2021 auction.
