Moeen Ali Reaches Landmark Milestone in Game Against Rajasthan Royals

Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) powerful southpaw Moeen Ali has been the saviour of the side on many occasions with the ball and with the bat. The English all-rounder who debuted in the year 2018 for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has now reached the 1,000 runs milestone in the sixteenth edition of the league while batting against Rajasthan Royals.

Ali who came in to bat when CSK were four down for 73, scored 23 with two fours and as many sixes couldn't really change the outcome of the game as the MS Dhoni-led side fell short by 32 runs after the end of 20 overs.

The left-hander in his six-year long IPL career has featured in 51 games where his precise numbers are 1007 runs at a strike rate of 144 with five fifties until now. Along with that, he has also managed 31 wickets at an average of 23.

35-year-old has been the global T20 player with plethora of experience featuring in number of domestic competitions in the world.

Additionally, he has been a key player for England as well with 74 matches where he struck runs at a strike rate of 143.

However, in this season so far, he has only been able to manage 97 runs from six innings.
