On Thursday, Jaipur saw an MS Dhoni classic from behind the stumps in the last over of the first innings, running out an on-song Dhruv Jurel on a wide delivery, ending his night with the bat with a vintage MSD one-handed throw at 34 off 15 balls.
Despite having a poor day as a stumper, Dhoni nailed the final nail in the coffin for Jurel.
Earlier in the day, the Chennai captain dropped a tough catch off Maheesh Theekshana and spilt a stumping chance off the same bowler - that too in the same over to let Rajasthan continue with their momentum in the middle phase of the innings.
After winning the toss, RR chose to bat first at their home ground in Sawai Mansingh Stadium, and Yashasvi Jaiswal stood on his captain's hope, blistering a shackle-breaking 77 off 43 balls. Jaiswal's knock was followed by cameos by Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal (27* off 13), helping Royals post a gigantic total of 202-5.
Chasing 203, Chennai Super Kings kept losing regular wickets, as none of their batters could stand tall against Rajasthan's challenge. At the time of writing, CSK are at 129-5 after 15 overs, needing 74 in 24.
