Lucky to share dressing room with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma: Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav has been in belligerent form throughout 2022. He has been the most consistent performer for team India in white ball cricket this year. The year 2022 saw the Mumbai batter amassing 1164 runs, the highest for any batter in the calendar year.

He had shared a plethora of partnerships with former Indian captain Virat Kohli, especially in T20Is this year. The duo put on a stellar batting show on several occasions and helped India cruise to victories. 

In an interview with PTI, Suryakumar called himself lucky for having gotten an opportunity to play alongside the batting mavericks like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. 

Here's what Suryakumar Yadav said: 

"I am actually very lucky that I share a dressing room with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. They are a different breed of international cricketers. Things they have achieved, I don’t know I will ever be able to achieve that." 

He also talked about how his Mumbai Indians skipper is like his elder brother as whenever he is in doubt regarding his game, he reaches out to Rohit Sharma. Notably, SKY has spent a lot of time with the current Indian captain during the IPL.

"Recently, I have had some good partnerships with Virat bhai, and I have enjoyed batting with him. Rohit is like an elder brother and my sounding board. When I am in doubt, I ask him direct questions about my game. He has been a good guiding force since I joined MI in 2018."
