Experienced Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan had a forgettable day with the ball today, being smashed all around the park during his side's ongoing group-stage fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders. Khan, known for his wily variations and nagging accuracy, thus recorded the second-most expensive spell in his illustrious IPL career.

This was Khan's 100th IPL game and by no means he will cherish it going forward. Despite trying his best, the veteran tweaker was taken to the cleaners by most KKR batters, particularly Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Andre Russell, conceding whopping 54 runs in his miserable four-over bowling spell. This was the second-most expensive IPL bowling figures recorded by the spin wizard.

Regarding the game, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a decent total of 179 runs after being put into bat by the Titans. Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz came out with all guns blazing and ensured a dream start for KKR, scoring a belligerent 39-ball 81.

His knock, glittered with five boundaries and seven humongous sixes, not only set the tone for a defendable score but also gave Andre Russell the perfect platform to script a fitting finish for KKR.

However, the other KKR batters let them down, which is why they finished on an average total despite Gurbaz's incredible fireworks.
