Playing 100 matches in any format is a blessing and very few have the privilege to touch the landmark. Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) stand-in skipper Nitish Rana achieved the milestone of 100 Indian Premier League (IPL) matches when he came out for toss against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

However, not all historic games are memorable like this one as the southpaw lost his wicket for just four runs after he came into bat at fifth position which is slightly lower than his regular one, sacrificing his place for Shardul Thakur after he was promoted up the order.

In his 100 IPL games, the Delhi batter has represented both Mumbai Indians (MI) and KKR since his debut in 2016. Moreover, with 2414 under his belt at a strike rate of 135 with over 125 sixes.

However, Rana's wicket fell when KKR's score was 88 by the end of 10.4 overs as Afghanistani batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz did bulk of scoring for his side.

By the time of writing, 15 overs have been completed with 134 on the board and no further batters being dismissed.
