The seed sown of the rivalry grew into a fierce battle on Day 2. In the first session, the Indian camp was quite chirp, especially the slip cordon featuring Virat Kohli. In between overs, Kohli took a dig at Konstas by suggesting that the 19-year-old was Bumrah's bunny.

"Yes Bumrah, there's your man now," said Kohli about Konstas.

Bumrah also joined his teammates in calling Konstas a no.10 batter because he was defensive approach in the first hour of Day 2’s play.

That being said, the verbal chatter broke Sam Konstas’ focus as he nicked an outside off-stump delivery by Mohammed Siraj straight to Yashasvi Jaiswal at slips. Team India had the last laugh in this battle, and all the players let out a huge roar. Konstas walked off the field in disappointment and was met with huge boos from the Sydney crowd as well.

Rohit Sharma walks out to support Bumrah

In a heartwarming gesture, benched captain Rohit Sharma walked out to share his piece of advice with Jasprit Bumrah during a drinks break on Day 2 of the Sydney Test.

India had chipped three quick wickets in the first hour before Steve Smith and Beau Webster showed resistance in a 57-run partnership. Hence, Sharma, dressed in extra player gear, walked out to share valuable insights with Bumrah.

Rohit Sharma, the Indian Test team captain, was dropped for the fifth Test after growing concerns over his form and captaincy limitations.
