Rajasthan Royals' greatest batting virtuoso, Jos Buttler, has bagged another milestone in his illustrious career in the Indian Premier League. On Wednesday against Chennai, the dashing English batter completed 3000 runs in the Indian lucrative league.

In 86 innings, Buttler has amassed 3000-plus runs, striking at 151.16 in the league, with 17 half-centuries and five hundreds to his name.

The Royals batter has become the 21st batter to achieve the feat. Interestingly, he is the lone Englishman to do so in the IPL. Moreover, Buttler has become the league's second-fastest man to 3000 runs, following Chris Gayle on the list.

Batting first at Chepauk, RR have got a flourishing start to their innings, thanks to Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal going all berserk against the four-time champions.

After losing Yashasvi Jaiswal early, the English dasher and Padikkal united in the middle, adding 77 runs to the second-wicket partnership. However, when things were faring well for the Royals, Ravindra Jadeja made the Indian batter hole at deep square leg.

At the time of writing, Rajasthan are 88 for the loss of two wickets in the ninth overs.
