In the hugely anticipated fixture between Chennai and Rajasthan, Rajasthan Royals have made bundles of changes to their Playing XI. A couple of those were finally dropping Riyan Parag and missing out on Trent Boult. Meanwhile, CSK have interchanged Maheesh Theekshana and Moeen Ali with Dwaine Pretorius and Mitchell Santner.

Deepak Chahar injury update

Chennai's silk-stocking pacer Deepak Chahar will also miss their clash against Rajasthan.

Chahar, who got injured after bowling one over in the last game, suffers from a bruised hamstring. Last season as well, Chennai had to suffer hugely because of the right-armer's injury.

Why Boult is not playing?

Apart from Parag, who has been dropped, Rajasthan have rested their maestro seam-bowler Trent Boult who is struggling with a niggle. In place of the Kiwi seamer, RR have brought in leg-spinner Adam Zampa. Instead, Devdutt Padikkal and Kuldeep Sen will play in the fixture against the Super Kings.

Other notable changes

Chennai have opted for Akash Singh, who has played for RR in the IPL, to make his CSK debut against the Royals. The Englishman Moeen Ali and the Lankan wily spinner Maheesh Theekshana have returned to the yellow outfit.
