Predicted Playing XI of Gujarat Titans for Match 18 of IPL 2023

The Match 18 of the Indian Premier League is going to be a scintillating one as two of the greatest forces to reckon with in this year's competition - Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) - will clash. Punjab will look to find their winning mojo against Gujarat; however, GT got served by Rinku Singh in their last outing.

The defending champion's skipper Hardik Pandya is expected to return to the Playing XI for this clash; however, the team management would need to rethink their tactics as the caravan has moved from Ahmedabad to Mohali.

In their game, left-arm seamer Yash Dayal got tonked for five maximums on as many deliveries, but would they seat him in the forthcoming match and hamper his confidence?

Here is what we think would be GT Predicted XI's for the Punjab clash:-

Openers: Shubman Gill & Wriddhiman Saha

When Gill and Saha are perfectly fulfilling the opener's boots, why would the Titans even think of changing their opening pair? The youth and exuberant Gill perfectly complement the experienced and calm Saha, and GT would field this duo as openers unless one of them gets unfit.

Middle Order: Sai Sudharsan, David Miller

If a team has Sudharsan and Miller, that would be extremes in batting. However, such kind of batters is what Gujarat need and working for them.

Sudharsan has smashed three IPL fifties in his last five innings, but his knock against Kolkata has made him a constant in GT's batting. And down the order, Gujarat would have another left-hander in Miller; he spent little time against Kolkata, but boy, how classy was he versus Chennai?

Allrounders: Hardik Pandya, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia & Rashid Khan

At the moment, GT have the most varied bunch of all-rounders in their arsenal. And with Pandya finding his full fitness, the team gets more balanced. Pandya and Rashid Khan are among those all-rounders who would contribute both with bat and ball; however, their unit gets more lethal after Shankar and Tewatia get added on.

Bowlers: Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph & Yash Dayal

Looking at Gujarat's bowling unit gives you an idea that they have covered all their bases. Shami and Joseph will be their sure-short pacemen; however, GT's team management will surely be playing Yash Dayal, after the left-armer had a poor day at the office against KKR, as a gesture to pat his back. If needed, they can also bring in Joshua Little as their Impact Player, as they have been doing in the last couple of fixtures.
