The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced its nominees for the ICC Men's Player of the Month for September — Axar Patel, Mohammad Rizwan, and Cameron Green.
Axar Patel
India's Patel had a standout T20I series against Australia last month, finishing with eight wickets from three matches, which included scores of over 200. His match-winning spell in the third and final T20I helped India clinch the series, grabbing the wickets of Aaron Finch, Josh Inglis, and Matthew Wade.
Mohammad Rizwan
Pakistan's ever-consistent Mohammad Rizwan continued to spell doom for bowlers in the seven-match T20I series against England at home.
Continuing his rich form from the 2022 Asia Cup, Rizwan recorded seven fifties in 10 matches in September. The keeper-batter finished as the leading run-scorer (316) for Pakistan in their 4-3 series loss.
Cameron Green
Touted as the next big thing in world cricket, Green displayed his all-rounder skills against New Zealand in the 1st ODI, claiming his maiden fifer and notching up a match-winning 89*.
Green cashed in on the absence of senior players during Australia's India tour. The 23-year-old registered his maiden T20I fifty; second-fastest for Australia at Hyderabad.
