After playing a sensational 118-run knock against England in the second innings, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal revealed his conversation with former Indian Test skipper Rohit Sharma. Sharma was seen on the sidelines in the stands supporting team India at the Oval on the Day 3 of the Fifth Test.

Jaiswal Disclosed The Message Received From Rohit

The game was certainly hanging on a thread when Yashasvi Jaiswal decided to take the attack on the English. Even after three dropped chances, the left-hander went on to score 118 runs off 164 deliveries, with 14 boundaries and two maximums to his name, helping India post 396 on the board, as they played 88 overs.

Jaiswal's knock ensured India gathered a lead of 373 runs, putting England in a position where they needed to chase 374 in the final innings of the final Test at the Oval.

However, there was one moment in the game where cameras panned towards the stands as former Indian Test skipper Rohit Sharma was seen sitting and supporting team India, wearing a white cap, sunglasses, and a blue blazer jacket.

Following the end of the day's play, speaking during the press conference, Jaiswal revealed that he had a conversation with Rohit during the game.

The former Indian and right-handed batter revealed that he said "hi" to Rohit, and the right-hander gave him a message to keep playing as he did for the rest of his innings.

"I saw Rohit bhai and said hi. He gave me the message to keep playing," Jaiswal said during the press conference.

Jaiswal Comments On His Game Plan

Further speaking on his knock, Jaiswal said that he planned to implement his idea, and he went through with it as his visualization came true. Following that, the left-handed batter then disclosed that his chat with seniors like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli is very beneficial to him, as he keeps getting messages from these Indian stalwarts.

"I think that's how you need to plan your game. I need to plan my game, my innings, where my shots are and where I'm going to score runs. So, of course, I keep getting all these messages and playing with the seniors as long as I have played with Rohit Bhai, Virat Bhai. So, playing with them as well helped me a lot grow as a person and seeing them, what they have done in Test cricket, how they have prepared themselves," he concluded.

The game will now proceed with the fourth day, where England, after playing 13.5 overs, have lost one wicket in the form of opener Zak Crawley, who was dismissed on what turned out to be the final ball of the day by Mohammed Siraj. They have 50 runs on the board and require 324 more for victory.
