As Yashasvi Jaiswal lit up The Oval with a match-defining century against England, an equally special moment unfolded off the field, India's ODI captain Rohit Sharma was seen sharing an emotional meeting with the young opener’s parents, who had flown to London to witness their son’s success.

The heartwarming interaction, captured in a private gathering, showed Rohit embracing Jaiswal’s family with the warmth of an elder brother.

Rohit All Smiles While Greeting Jaiswal's Parents In London!

Yashasvi Jaiswal's mother, Kanchan, was seen draped in a saree and a shawl while Yashasvi's father, Bhupendra Kumar, rocked the dapper in a black suit. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was all smiles in a black hoodie and a pair of blue jeans, styling a casual look.

Notably, Rohit, the seasoned campaigner, has often mentored Jaiswal, and the young talent didn't shy away from crediting him. Jaiswal, who dedicated his Oval century to his parents, later acknowledged Rohit’s influence in a press conference.

"I saw him in the stands during my innings. He sent me a message to keep playing my natural game. Learning from seniors like Rohit bhai and Virat bhai has shaped my approach." The 23-year-old’s gratitude mirrors the bond the Indian captain shares with his young protégé, one that transcends the boundary ropes.

For Jaiswal’s parents, the trip to London was already special, their first visit to England, filled with sightseeing and pride as their son dominated the hosts. But Rohit Sharma’s gesture elevated it further, blending professional respect with personal affection.

As India closes in on a series-levelling thriller at The Oval on Day 3, the images of Rohit sharing laughs with the Jaiswal family pack the warmth and affection Jaiswal brings to the cricket ground with his bat.
