Talking about the match, India had set a formidable target of 397 runs, and Mohammed Shami's extraordinary bowling ensured that New Zealand could only muster 327 in response, which not only gave India a 70-run victory but secured their place in the final.

Shami's figures were nothing short of spectacular in 9.5 overs; he gave 57 runs and scalped 7 wickets. He struck early and removed the dangerous Devon Conway and the promising Rachin Ravindra. These wickets set the tone for India's dominance with the ball.
