Apart from his exemplary batting, Kohli is also known for his in your face aggression in Test cricket and here are 5 such moments where the India great showed his aggressive side in whites.
1) The tussle with Australian crowd
When a young Virat Kohli toured Australia in the 2011, little did he expected that the crowd there will turn hostile and will sledge the youngster. During the second Test match in Sydney, Kohli was fielding near the boundary ropes when the crowd provoked the Indian youngster and in response, Kohli hit back as he showed his middle finger and at that point of time, this gesture looked rude and over the next few years, he had a love-hate relation with the Aussie crowd.
2) The fight with David Warner
We are continuing his fight with the Aussies and this time we go back during the 2014 series where Kohli led India in the first Test in Adelaide. In the first Test, Steve Smith and David Warner were batting and Warner said something to Rohit Sharma who was bowling.
An infuriated Kohli walked upto Warner and had a heated moment with him as the two were separated by the umpire.
3) The confrontation with Ollie Robinson

Lord's Test in 2021 between India and England will always be a special memory for the Indian fans as they dismantled the home side with ease. However, when India were batting in their second innings, English pacer, Ollie Robinson hurled abuse at Cheteshwar Pujara and Kohli took his own sweet revenge.
When Robinson came out to bat, Kohli took a dig at the England batter constantly provoked him and took revenge of what transpired with his own teammate.
4) The sledge which provoked Jonny Bairstow
During the one-off Test between England and India in 2022, England were in a dire situation as they needed 378 in the 4th innings to save the series. Jonny Bairstow, the English batter was at the crease and he was struggling for runs as India had the upper hand.
However, he had a war of words with Kohli and this infuriated the Englishman and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him. Bairstow went berserk as he smacked an unbeaten 114 and helped England thrash India to level the 5-match series.
5) The Sandpaper incident Vs the Aussie crowd
The final incident of this piece will take us back to Australia once again as this time, Kohli once again collided with the Australian crowd.
During Day 3 of the SCG Test, the Indian chins were down as the Aussies abused Kohli and his teammates. This is when Kohli made the Sandpaper gesture, seemingly mocking the Aussies for what their players did in 2018. He gestured emptying his pocket, stating that he had no Sandpaper in his pocket, a reference to the infamous incident during the Australia-South Africa series.
