Australia and India are up against each other in a tense final game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The momentum has swung from one team to another throughout the course of this series, and with India desperate for a win, they are giving their all in the final innings of the series.
Australia need 162 to win the Test and take series by a 3-1 margin. A victory would also guarantee them a spot in the WTC final and India would be knocked out, leaving them out of the final of the longest format after two consecutive finale appearance. Indian task has got even tougher with their skipper Jasprit Bumrah out to due to injury in the second innings and Virat Kohli has taken the captaincy duties in his hand.
Virat Kohli Sledges Australia In A Tense SCG Test
Virat is leaving no stones unturned in that role and has brought out his vintage aggressive mode. He is sledging and giving Australian players some brutal send offs while using his bowlers brilliantly on the field.
He also came with stunning sandpaper gate antics and now has been heard taunting Aussies that they have not won a single BGT since last 10 years. It is typical Virat Kohli and though he has not scored runs, his energy while fielding has been brilliant throughout the course of five Test matches.
Australia though are in a better position and look set to bag their first Border-Gavaskar Trophy after waiting for a decade with India winning both at home and Down Under in the last decade.
