IND vs AUS: "It's Disappointing", Says a Dejected Rohit Sharma After India's Humiliating Defeat

After incurring a five-wicket defeat in Mumbai, Australia bounced back in style, crushing hosts India by ten wickets in the second ODI of the three-match series in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.

Bowling first, Australia bundled out India for a meagre 117-run total, thanks to a spectacular fifer from Mitchell Starc. In reply, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh took all Indian bowlers to the cleaners, helping their side chase the total in just eleven overs.

After India's demoralising defeat, skipper Rohit Sharma rued lack of application from the batters on a sporting pitch.

Sharma, who could contribute only 13 runs, also applauded Starc for capitalising on the swing on offer at the venue.

Here's what Sharma said

"If you lose a game, it's always disappointing. There were not enough runs on the board. This wasn't 117 runs pitch. We just didn't apply ourselves well. We had a couple of small partnerships but couldn't make it last longer,

"Once Shubman was out in the first over, myself and Virat added some crucial runs for the second wicket. But once I lost my wicket, we fell over. Starc is a master of swing. He bowled really well. We needed to judge the in and out swing well. We should have known which way he was moving it. He is one of the finest bowlers going around."

With the series well-poised at one-all, both teams will lock horns with each other in the decider in Chennai on Wednesday.
