Cricket Ireland has named Ireland’s 15-player squad for the upcoming 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. Senior top-order batter Paul Stirling is set to continue as Ireland captain, with wicketkeeper-batter Lorcan Tucker being named as his deputy.

It is worth noting that the Ireland cricket team is placed in Group B of the T20 World Cup next month alongside Australia, Oman, Zimbabwe and tournament co-hosts Sri Lanka.

Cricket Ireland names its best 15 for T20 World Cup 2026

On Friday, January 9, Cricket Ireland named its 15-player Ireland squad for next month’s 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the Indian subcontinent. Adair brothers Mark and Ross both made a cut into the squad, along with fellow pair of siblings, Harry Tector and Tim Tector.

Fast bowler Josh Little, left-arm spinner Matthew Humphreys and all-rounder Curtis Campher were among the other star attractions included in the Ireland squad. Here is a look at the entire 15-player Ireland squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

⁠Paul Stirling (c), Mark Adair, Ross Adair, Ben Calitz, Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Matthew Humphreys, Josh Little, Barry McCarthy, Harry Tector, Tim Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Ben White and Craig Young.

The Ireland cricket team qualified for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on the basis of the ICC Men’s T20I team rankings alongside New Zealand and Pakistan late last year.

Ireland schedule in T20 World Cup

Placed in Group B of the month-long competition, the Ireland cricket team will launch its campaign with a match against Sri Lanka on February 8. The match will be hosted by the iconic R. Premadasa Stadium in Sri Lanka.

Ireland will subsequently face Australia on February 11, against Oman on February 14 and against Zimbabwe on February 17 to cap its group stage run.
