In a remarkable achievement, Indian batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered a glorious double hundred against England in the ongoing third Test match at Niranjan Shah stadium in Rajkot. This is Jaiswal's second double hundred in Test cricket, and he became only the seventh player in history to slam double tons in consecutive Tests.

Notably, Jaiswal hammered the first double century of his career in the first innings of the second Test of this series, which India won convincingly to level the series. The youngster recorded a failure in the first innings at Rajkot, but bounced back remarkably to stamp his authority over the Englishmen in the second innings.

Since debuting in Tests, Jaiswal has emerged as India’s Mr consistent in the purest format. Alongside skipper Rohit Sharma, the southpaw has formed a lethal opening pair.

He had an amazing start to this series, amassing 80 runs in the first Test in Hyderabad. He followed it up with twin double tons in the subsequent Tests, helping India dominate the visitors.

His double hundred and scintillating knocks from Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Ahmed have powered India to a dominant position in the Rajkot Test. As of writing, the hosts have taken a mammoth 539-run lead, placed at 413 for four with Jaiswal and Sarfaraz unbeaten in the middle.
