On Friday, December 6, the 2nd Test between India and Australia kicked off at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. India won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision turned out to be a nightmare as Jaiswal got out on the first ball of the match.
Jaiswal, who smashed a brilliant 161 in the first Test, surrendered to Starc's brilliance and was trapped in front of the wickets on the first ball of the match. With the feat, he joined an embarrassing list of players with a duck on the first ball of a Test match.
Notably, Jaiswal became the fourth player in history to be out on the 1st ball of a Test in Australia. Here is the complete list.

Jaiswal Joins Gavaskar, Rahul In Embarrassing List
Overall, Jaiswal has become the seventh Indian batter to get out on the first ball of a Test match. Interestingly, his opening partner KL Rahul was the last Indian batter to register a golden duck on the first ball of a Test match.

Yashasvi became a centre of criticism as he also registered a duck in the first innings of the first Test. However, he redeemed himself and smashed a brilliant 161 in the second innings that led to India's win.
