In a fiery response to sledging, Australian pace maestro Mitchell Starc dismissed young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal on the very first ball of the pink ball Test currently underway in Adelaide. As Jaiswal walked back on a golden duck, fans reminded him of the past where he sledged Starc and how the pacer had the perfect revenge.

The second Test between India and Australia went on floors earlier today at Adelaide Oval Stadium. Visiting captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first in the pink ball Test. However, India’s start was horrendous. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 177 in the Perth Test, was sent packing on a dramatic golden duck.

Fans trolls Yashasvi Jaiswal after Starc gets him on golden duck

Australian spearhead Mitchell Starc went round the wicket to bowl a pitched-up delivery that angled in after hitting the surface. Jaiswal was undone by the late movement and missed a flick shot. Replays showed 3 reds on ball tracking, and Jaiswal had to walk back.

Meanwhile, fans on ‘X’ roasted Yashasvi Jaiswal over his golden duck dismissal in the pink ball Test. Many linked it to the sledging incident that unfolded in Perth.

After scoring a hundred, Jaiswal told Starc that he was coming slow. However, perhaps, the veteran didn’t let that jibe slide and responded aggressively to humble the 22-year-old.

With that, India were down 0/1. However, Shubman Gill and KL Rahul salvaged the early damage by not throwing away any more wickets. Notably, for the second Test, India embraced 3 changes.

Rohit Sharma came in for Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal made way for Shubman Gill. Besides, Washington Sundar was replaced by veteran Ravichandran Ashwin. For Australia, Scott Boland has come in to replace injured Josh Hazlewood.
