MI-W have been a team to beat this season, whereas UP-W's woes in the field refuse to die down. An interesting clash seems to be on the way to further add excitement to this WPL season.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians Women have been on an invincible run this year. They won two successive games and sit at the top of the table. 

What worked for MI-W this year was the collective effort. While Shabnim Ismail has been terrific with the new ball, Harmanpreet Kaur is leading from the front with the willow.

Additionally, the emergence of talents like Sajana has been nothing short of an extraordinary achievement for MI. 

Amelia Kerr also stepped up with four wickets in the previous game against Gujarat Giants Women.

Overall, there is nothing much MI needs to change. The combination is right, and if the top order also joins the party, no force can stop the defending champion's dream run.

UP Warriorz Women

UP Warriorz was brutally hammered by Delhi Capitals in the previous fixture of the WPL 2024 season. Batting first, UP struggled against the new ball, which triggered a mighty collapse. 

The Warriorz women never recovered from Radha Yadav's golden spell and only managed to put 119 runs on board. The game was already lost, but Delhi Capitals onslaught further destroyed UP-W's confidence and self-belief.

However, Alyssa Healey is experienced enough not to take the initial loss by heart. She needs to convey the same feeling to her teammates and maintain a positive environment before they gear up for another mighty challenge against defending champions.

Overall, UP Warriorz must tame their fielding woes to advance further into the tournament. The saga of silly dropped catches that began last year perpetuated this season as well, which is definitely not a good sign.
