Stuart Binny and Yusuf Pathan bulldozed West Indies Champions bowlers to blaze India Champions into the semifinal of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 season. While Stuart notched up a ‘Player of the Match’ performance with his all-round excellence, Yusuf secured the winning runs as India Champions sealed the deal with 40 balls remaining to pip England’s NRR on the points table.

After striking the winning runs, the former Indian all-rounder skipped the usual fist pumps and raced past the boundary ropes and straight into the embrace of his sons who stormed the field in a moment straight out of a dream.

Yusuf Pathan The Biggest Winner From India’s Win

Yusuf Pathan stormed past the boundary ropes mere moments after hitting the winning runs for India Champions. The cricketer greeted and hugged his sons, and urged them to celebrate the moment with the rest of the team.

In a video shared by FanCode after the match on social media, Yusuf Pathan’s sons can be seen jubilantly marching towards the pitch with wide smiles, sharing the celebration stride for stride.

India Champions Storm Into The Semis

West Indies Champions batted first and carted 144-9 from 20 overs, largely owing to Kieron Pollard’s explosive and unbeaten 74* off 43 balls. Piyush Chawla unfurled the spell of the innings by picking up figures of 3-18 from his four overs. Stuart Binny also chipped in with two wickets, and conceded just 17 runs in his spell.

Chasing 145, Binny blasted 50* runs off 21 balls with three fours and four sixes. Yusuf Pathan also made 21* from just seven balls as India Champions recorded their first win of the WCL 2025 season to qualify for the semifinals.

They will now face Pakistan Champions in the first semifinal on July 31 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
