He scored 93 in the first innings of the Test and in the second innings, crossed an important landmark of 9000 runs in just his 103rd Test match. He became the third joint-fastest to reach 9000 Test runs and joined the likes of Kumar Sangakkara and Younis Khan. Both of them reached the landmark in same number of matches while Brian Lara is the second fastest with 102 matches. Steve Smith is at the top of the list as his 9000th run came in just his 99th Test match while the likes of Virat Kohli and Joe Root are behind these legends. Also, Williamson is the first New Zealand batter to reach 9000 Test runs.
