In order to prepare for the upcming Pink-Ball Test match against Australia, the Rohit Sharma led Indian side will play a warm-up day-night match against the Prime Minister's XI, starting in Canberra on Saturday.

The conditions at the Manuka oval, Canberra will mimic the conditions India will get in Adelaide and the Indian side are eager to make the most of the opportunity presented here. The warm-up match will be a Pink-Ball affair as India prepare for their toughest test of the series.

IND Vs PM XI: Rain threat looms large in Canberra

However, it seems as if rain god has decided to ruin India's game-plan as Canberra has witnessed heavy rainfall since morning and the toss has been delayed. It was predicted earlier that there are chances of thunderstorms in Canberra and it could affect the outcome of the contest.

Dark cloud loom over as the match was set to begin at 9:10 AM IST, but the pitch is under covers and the toss has been delayed. Indian batters will hope they get some match-practice as the last time they played a Pink-Ball Test in Adelaide, disaster struck.

What happened last time India played a day-night Test in Adelaide?

It was the first game of the 2020-21 series and India had taken considerable first-innings lead. However, it all went downhill as Josh Hazlewood ran riot and picked up a 5-wicket haul as India got bundled out for a mere 36, their lowest Test total ever.

Despite batting well in the first innings, the Indian side struggled badly and the Pink ball did the damage against them. In order to not repeat the same mistakes, the visitors have decided to preprare for the challenge by playing a warm-up match against Prime Minister's XI.
