The stage is set for the second Test between West Indies and Bangladesh at the Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica. West Indies won the first game comprehensively by 201 runs and it is upto the visitors now to show some fight and level the series. Bangladesh's batting has always been an issue and unless they sort it out, things are not likely to improve for them.

So, with a series on the line and plenty of questions to be answered, let's see what would be their ideal combination for the second Test. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Zakir Hasan both failed in the two innings of the first Test, and they need to pull their socks up, as Bangladesh tend to collapse quite a lot against new ball. Mominul Haque is one batter who has shown good form in the last game, and scored a fifty in the last game.

Bangladesh Senior Batters Need To Take More Responsibility

Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Jaker Ali also scored some runs, but they need a big score to challenge Windies, and the senior players need to take more responsibility. Overall, they need to click as a batting group in the second Test, something which they have lacked at the Test level in recent times.

Taskin Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers in the first Test, and bagged six wickets in the second innings. Hasan Mahmud also bowled well, but Shoriful Islam could grab only one wicket across two innings, and he could be replaced by Nahid Rana. The pacer can notch some good speeds and the extra byte he generates off the deck can help Bangladesh. Rest of the XI is likely to remain same and it would be interesting to see how the visitors bounce back after getting crushed in the first game.
