As expected, rain has begun its show at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium because of which the highly-awaited second ODI between Sri Lanka and West Indies has experienced a delay. The toss was expected to take place at 2 pm, however, due to continuous rain it has been delayed.
UPDATE: The entire ground is under covers and the conditions at the moment seem quite overcast as well. Moreover, the rain has although relented a bit and given way to some activity on the ground, there is still a drizzle. Due to which, the groundsmen are seen removing the water present on the covers however are not confident enough to remove the covers.

The target for Sri Lanka was revised to 232 runs in 37 overs under the DLS method. Despite early setbacks, an unbeaten 77 off 71 deliveries for Charith Asalanka and 69 of 54 balls superb knock for Nishan Madushka helped Sri Lanka come out with a victory, having 5.1 overs left.
