The stage is set for the 2nd One Day international clash between Sri Lanka and West Indies at the famous Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on October 23.

Sri Lanka Stun West Indies With A Victory in 1st ODI

Trailing 1-0 after the opening match, Sri Lanka fought back with a five-wicket win over West Indies. In the rain-affected opener, WI batted first and scored 185; however, unfortunately rain cut the match short, and then eventually Sri Lanka were asked to chase 232 runs, which they made in just 32 overs.

The Sri Lankan Lions were stunning the ball, with Wanindu Hasaranga taking two wickets. Nishan Madushka and Charith Asalanka batted aggressively, scoring fifties, to lead Sri Lanka to a decisive win.

Sri Lanka will seek to take that momentum into the second ODI and win the series, while West Indies hope Alick Athanaze and Brandon King do better than in the first match. Shai Hope will seek to redeem himself after a poor single-digit score. Sherfane Rutherford, a solid middle-order batter and spin-bowling allrounder, Roston Chase, will be supercritical to the visitors.

According to Accuweather's predictions, the weather at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Pallekele doesn't look very reassuring. The temperature is expected to be between 28° C and 33° C during the day. 

But the big trouble yet again comes with the name rain. There is a 75%  probability of precipitation, and there is a strong chance that a bit of rain will happen in the afternoon when the game is slated to begin. There is also an 18% prediction of thunderstorms. Moreover, as per the report, there will be considerable cloudiness and humidity throughout this time, with a cloud cover of 96%. 

Hence, there is a chance that the toss will be delayed due to precipitation.
