It won't be an understatement to say that the Australian team is in the driving seat of the MCG Test match after the end of second day. The home side have showcased domination and have pushed the Indian team on the back-foot.

If rain doesn't arrive, then Day 3 will start on time at 5 AM IST, and the first session will go for two hours and will end at 7 AM. There will be a 40-minute lunch break and the second session will commence at 7:40 AM, followed by another two hour session.
At 9:40, Te break will take place and it will end at 10 AM IST. The final session will commence at 10 AM, and will go till 12 AM, and might be extended for another half an hour if the designated overs are not being bowled.
