It won't be an understatement to say that the Australian team is in the driving seat of the MCG Test match after the end of second day. The home side have showcased domination and have pushed the Indian team on the back-foot.

It was an Australian performance which oozed class on Day 2 as Steve Smith completed yet another century Vs India and alongside the tail-enders, he frustrated the Indian bowlers as Australia posted a mammoth 474 in their first innings.

In reply, India lost two early wickets of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, but Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli steadied the ship with a brisk partnership.

The duo added 100-plus runs for the third wicket as the Australian side, for the first time in this Test match looked frustrated. However, a Jaiswal run-out changed the course of the match as Kohli followed him back soon and India lost 3 quick wickets to finish the day on 164/5.

Now, ahead of the moving day, ie. Day 3, we look at the session timings of the Boxing-Day Test and will anything change in relation to the time?.

What Time Will Day 3 of IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test Start? 

Just like the previous two days, Day 3 of the India Vs Australia Test match will start at 5 AM IST, and will go on till 12:30 PM.

What Are The Session Times For Day 3 of IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test?

If rain doesn't arrive, then Day 3 will start on time at 5 AM IST, and the first session will go for two hours and will end at 7 AM. There will be a 40-minute lunch break and the second session will commence at 7:40 AM, followed by another two hour session.

At 9:40, Te break will take place and it will end at 10 AM IST. The final session will commence at 10 AM, and will go till 12 AM, and might be extended for another half an hour if the designated overs are not being bowled.
