Well, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has found an energetic and carefree character in the form of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spinner, Digvesh Rathi. He doesn't shy away from expressing his emotions and for three games in a row, he has shown his emotions through his lively actions.

What happened with Digvesh Rathi?

The spinner has been living on the edge as he received a demerit point after his unnecessary celebration against the Punjab Kings. He brought out the famous notebook celebration and was fined by the IPL for breaching their Code of Conduct. Then again, the spinner did the same celebration against Mumbai and once again faced the consequences as the IPL reprimanded him for the same.

It was expected that he won't repeat the same mistake thrice, but after Sunil Narine, he did the notebook celebration on the ground and could face severe consequences.

Will Digvesh Rathi be suspended?

This season he has already received two fines with offences under Level 1 of IPL Code of Conduct. Plus, he also has three demerit points and has already been fined 50% of his match fee.

If he receives one more demerit point, which he could after this celebration, then the spinner, as per IPL rules could be suspended for LSG's next match. However, unlike previous incidents, he deliberately did the celebration by writing notes on the ground, but this could also come under the IPL breach.

In the match against KKR, Digvesh has bowled 3 overs and has conceded 27 runs while taking a solitary wicket of Narine.
