In a significant development, West Indies have opted to bowl in the final ODI of the three-match series against India at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad. While the hosts have an unchanged playing XI, India have made two changes, replacing Umran Malik and Axar Patel with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Jaydev Unadkat, respectively.

At toss, West Indies captain Shai Hope urged his troops to exploit the moisture on the surface and seemed determined to restrict India to a paltry total.

"We are going to bowl first again and we are going to try and extract the best out of the moisture. As I said, we will try to extract the best out of the moisture and put some pressure. yeah, always about the process, we need to do and in a consistent manner, and then win more series,” said Hope.

Meanwhile, stand-in Indian captain Hardik Pandya revealed that the visitors are pumped up for the decider and try their heart out to clinch the series.

“Two changes. Ruturaj comes in for Umran and Unadkat comes in for Axar. If you see the series is at 1-1 and the boys are pumped up for the series decider. It's good to feel some pressure. It looks like a good pitch. I would have batted first. It looks decent and we will get a good score on the board," Pandya stated.
