In an encouraging news for Indian cricket fans, ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah has shown promising signs, as he gears up for his international comeback. Bumrah, who hasn't played a single international match owing to a career-threatening back injury, bowled a lethal spell to the Mumbai batters at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, proving his improved fitness in this process.

In a widely circulated video, Bumrah is seen bowling in full throttle and troubling the batters with his pace hostile pace and immaculate accuracy.

Although the bowler didn't get a wicket, he seems to have attained match-fitness and could make it into the Indian squad for the Ireland T20Is scheduled in August.

Notably, Bumrah sustained a back injury, which ruled him out of the Asia Cup in the UAE last year. Although he represented the national team in the Australia T20Is, a recurrence of the injury sidelined him from the ICC T20 World Cup Down Under. His absence proved costly for India, as they suffered a shocking exit following a shambolic defeat to England in the all-important semifinal.

Therefore, Bumrah regaining his rhythm and fitness is a delightful news for team India, with the Asia Cup and World Cup being around the corner. If everything goes right, the fast bowler could soon be back in national colours in the three-match T20I series against the Irish starting next month.
