On June 4, Nepal locked horns against the Netherlands in their first T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas, USA. In their first game of the edition, the fans turned up in huge numbers and only Nepali shirts could be spotted in the stands. 

The internet went crazy to see the support for Nepal, as a photo went viral of a huge crowd watching the game live in Tudhikel, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Despite great support in the stands and back home, Nepal did not live up to the expectations and tumbled for a total of 106 runs in 19.2 overs against Netherlands on Tuesday.
