Dhruv Jurel, who is playing just his second Test match has shown nerves of steel with a brilliant fifty under pressure in the fourth Test between India and England at Ranchi. He came out to bat with India in deep trouble at 161-5, but showed great temperament and stitched together an invaluable partnership with Kuldeep Yadav for the eighth wicket.

He mixed caution with aggression nicely and continued his great work on the morning of Day 3 even though Kuldeep Yadav departed after a fine knock. He got to his fifty in the 90th over with a push to long on for a single and came up with a salute, that grabbed plenty of eyeballs.
