Devon Conway, the star Kiwi batter and CSK's opener has been hit on his left thumb while wicketkeeping in the second T20I between New Zealand and Australia. He has left the ground after the blow and will undergo scans that will decide the fatality of his injury.

Devon Conway was the star of the show with the bat for CSK in the 2023 IPL with 672 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of almost 140. The stability and consistency he brings to the table is key for CSK and if his injury does turn out to be serious, he might miss some games in the initial half of IPL 2024.

IPL though is still a month away, and Devon Conway still has a lot of time to recover, even if he does get ruled out of the remainder of T20I series against Australia.
