Tonight, Delhi Capitals will cross swords against Lucknow SuperGiants in their first IPL 2025 match. The high-voltage encounter is scheduled at Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

Why Is DC's Home Game Scheduled In Vizag?

Delhi Capitals generally play their home matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium in the Indian Premier League. However, this time, they will face the SuperGiants at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

So, the change in their home venue raised many eyebrows, leaving fans puzzled if they would play all their home matches in Vizag.

However, it's worth mentioning that the Capitals haven't given a reason regarding the change in their venue. The venue hosted DC's two home matches in the IPL last year. Also, the ACA-VDCA stadium might've got two games, with the BCCI aiming to conduct IPL matches all across the country.

While the Capitals won the first match by 20 runs, the Knight Riders handed them a 120-run defeat in the second encounter.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium hosted two consecutive WPL matches last season, but this time, Delhi was not one of the venues for the Women's Premier League.

DC's IPL Record At Vizag

Delhi Capitals have had a topsy-turvy IPL journey at Vizag's ACA-VDCA cricket stadium. They have played seven matches while winning only three and losing four matches at the venue in the tournament. However, with several LSG players injured, the Capitals will certainly start as the favourites in tonight's affair.
