The upcoming season of IPL is less than a week away. The preparations are in full swing as all ten teams have net sessions and are sweating hard in the practice. However, the franchises are also concerned about players' fitness.
It is worth noting that several big stars like Jasprit Bumrah are set to miss the inaugural few matches. While all teams are struggling with a solitary or couple of injury concerns, LSG have dealt the most blows as three star seamers are in doubt for their opening match.
Mayank, Mohsin, And Avesh Likely To Miss IPL Opener
Firstly, they dealt a blow in the form of Mayank Yadav, their 11 crore retention. Notably, Yadav is suffering from a back injury and according to reports, he is set to miss the first half of IPL 2025 and is yet to receive a clearance from the NCA.
Not just Mayank, but Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan are yet to receive a green light from the NCA to play in the first match of IPL 2025 against Delhi Capitals on March 24 as per reports from Newsbyte.
Avesh Khan, another key member of LSG's pace attack, is currently undergoing rehab for a knee cartilage issue. He hasn't played a single professional match in January. While his recovery is on track, the extent of his fitness remains uncertain according to Cricbuzz. However, the details of Mohsin's injury aren't known. In case these three players fail to make it in time, then Akash Deep and Shamar Joseph are the two big seamers left with LSG for Delhi Capitals match.
