Day 3 of the Gabba Test between India and Australia is slated to be an exciting event as the host team remains in the driver's seat. After the majority of Day 1's play was washed due to rain, the Aussies came out all guns blazing on an extended Day 2 play. 

On Day 1, Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first as the controversial decision backfired on team India. While the day was called off, Australian batters heaped tons of runs on Day 2. 

Jasprit Bumrah had some success as he dismissed Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney. Nitish Reddy got rid of Marnus Labuschagne before Steve Smith and Travis Head stitched a record partnership. 

While Smith slammed a hundred, Head thumped 152 off 160 balls to record a 241-run partnership. At stumps on Day 2, Australia had 405 runs on the board at the loss of 7 wickets. With India currently on the back foot, the weather forecast for December 16 doesn't look promising, with rain likely to make a return.

What Are The Session Times For IND vs AUS Gabba Test?

The first session of Day 3 of Gabba Test between India and Australia will begin from 5.20 AM IST and will last until 7.20 AM IST before the players head for lunch break. The play will then resume from 8.00 AM IST to 10.00 AM IST. The tea break will further last for 20 minutes and the final session will resume at 10.00 AM IST to 12.50 AM IST. It's important to note that play will be extended in case the scheduled 90 overs for the day are not completed.
