Nahid Rana has raised quite a few eyebrows in Bangladesh cricket with his raw pace and has been quite impressive both at the international as well as domestic level. He is considered as the fastest bowler Bangladesh has ever produced and has the ability to run though the batting line-ups.

The right-arm pacer displayed that in the fourth match of Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25 as he grabbed four wickets with the ball to stage a 34-run win for his side, Rangpur Riders. They were defending a mediocre target of 156, but Nahid Rana stepped up big time with some crucial blows and one of the big one was of Zakir Hasan.

Nahid Rana's Pace Proves Too Hot To Handle

It was a beautiful delivery, the first one of the fifth over. He came 'round the wicket, angling into the left-hander. The ball pitched around middle and off and straighten after pitching as the ball beat the outside edge of Zakir's bat who tried to drive it. The ball hit the off-pole and was sent for a ride as the spectators in the stand were left bamboozled by the raw pace.

However, it was a young girl in the crowd that came up with the best reaction as the genuine happiness and joy was quite evident in her gestures after the dismissal. Nahid Rana got rid of Paul Stirling on the final ball of the same over and Sylhet Strikers just could not recover after that over.

The win took Rangpur Riders to the top of the table with perfect record in two matches while Strikers lost their opening game of the season.
