The Royal Challengers Bengaluru command one of the biggest follower bases in cricket. The fans of these franchises are spread throughout the world, transcending boundaries and borders. However, despite such a huge following, the franchise has disappointed them by not being able to win the IPL title in 17 years.

One of the most significant weaknesses for RCB has been their auction strategies. They have often failed to recognise future talents and draw plans during the auctions. However, the IPL 2025 auction was one of their best, and they did their best to form a sustainable squad around a strong core. RCB have some great players on their side, and here are three of them who might have a great 2025.

3. Phil Salt

The English wicketkeeper had a decent outing in 2024. Although Salt lacked consistency during the year, he delivered some knockout performances that, in turn, laid the foundation for the team's win. Phil Salt is known for his aggressive batting at the top and his ability to seize the momentum for his team pretty early in the game.

The English batter played a key role for KKR during their championship run last season. Seeing his performance last year, RCB bought him for INR 11.50 Cr. Given the impact he can leave and the form he is carrying into the new year, Salt could be the MVP for England and RCB.

2. Jacob Bethell

The young English all-rounder has proven himself at the highest level in the neonatal stages of his career. The 21-year-old was bought for INR 2.6 Cr during the auction by the Royal Challengers.

Jacob Bethell has already shown his talent in all the formats. Given that his career has taken off, he might play a crucial role for England in 2025. Besides becoming a key cog in the English set-up, Bethell might emerge as one of the most valuable entities for the RCB side.

1. Rajat Patidar

The RCB middle-order batter's performance was one of the main reasons behind the dramatic comeback they scripted in the second half of the tournament. Rajat Patidar has since carried his form with the bat and has impressed even in the domestic arena. The right-handed batter displayed excellence in SMAT 2024 and showed signs of becoming an important part of the RCB squad.

Given the performances of Patidar and his dynamic batting style, the batter might get a national call-up once more and could also establish himself in the side. Besides his chances with the Indian team, Rajat Patiday will be a key player for the RCB team during IPL 2025.
