Yashasvi Jaiswal, a highly talented young player from India, had a memorable day as he achieved his first Test century in his debut match against the West Indies at Windsor Park. His exceptional performance received praise from all quarters.

However, an unfortunate incident occurred during the match when Jaiswal was captured on the stump mic using an offensive Hindi slang towards a West Indies player after completing a run. The video clip of this incident quickly spread across social media platforms.

The video featuring Jaiswal has gained significant attention on social media. The footage captures a moment where Jaiswal and Virat Kohli were involved in a run between the wickets. During the process, an unidentified player, later identified as Kemar Roach, obstructed Jaiswal's path. Following this incident, Virat Kohli was observed expressing his dissatisfaction, directing verbal remarks towards the player, as he believed the obstruction caused an interference with Jaiswal's run.

The consequences of Jaiswal's actions, if any, are yet to be determined by the match referee.

In the ongoing first Test, Jaiswal took on the role of opening the batting for India alongside captain Rohit Sharma. By the end of Day 2, Jaiswal remained unbeaten on an impressive score of 143*, with India leading by 162 runs. The team's total stood at 312 for 2, with former captain Virat Kohli accompanying Jaiswal in the middle. Jaiswal's outstanding performance has now made him the 17th Indian player to achieve a century on their Test debut.

It would be lovely too see what Day 3 holds for him as well as the entire Indian contingent.
