The second Test between India and Bangladesh is finally underway after a delayed start due to wet outfield and after a cautious start from the visitors, Akash Deep has finally found a breakthrough for the home team. Zakir Hasan, the left-handed opener is the one who has lost his wicket and the opener fell for a 24-ball duck.

It was the third delivery of the 9th over, and Akash Deep, bowling his first over, delivered a lovely ball. It was a good-length delivery, angling into the left-hander, and Zakir Hasan tried to defend it. He only managed to get a thick outside edge, though, and the ball went right of the gully fielder. Yashasvi Jaiswal there was alert and dived to his right and forward to grab a brilliant catch.

Akash Deep Impresses In His Opening Spell

The on-field umpires then decided to confirm whether the catch was a clean one or not, and the replays showed that Yashasvi had taken it perfectly with his hands under the ball. It was an important breakthrough for India, and Akash Deep has once again shown his class in the opening spell. After the wicket of Zakir, the right-arm pacer also got the other opener Shadman Islam who was batting positively and from 26-0, Bangladesh were reduced to 29-2 in no time.

Bangladesh now need their middle order to deliver in tricky conditions, if they want to put pressure back on India. Earlier, Rohit Sharma decided to bowl first after winning the toss, the first instance at the venue after 60 years, and with two early wickets, he would be happy with the way things have pan out. Also, India are going with an unchanged XI in this game after winning the first Test comfortably, while Bangladesh have made two changes to their XI.
