Dwayne Bravo, the star all-rounder from the Caribbean, has joined Kolkata Knight Riders as a mentor for IPL 2025 following his retirement from all forms of cricket. Bravo was the bowling coach of CSK for the 2023 and 2024 seasons but has now decided to move to the camp of the current IPL champions, where he is all set to replace Gautam Gambhir as the mentor.

Along with managing Kolkata Knight Riders, Bravo would also act as a mentor of all other Knight Riders teams around the world in leagues like MLC, CPL, and ILT20. KKR's announcement come after the all-rounder announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after a groin injury during a CPL game.

Dwayne Bravo Gets Ready For First Stint With KKR In IPL 

This is the first time Bravo would be associated with KKR in IPL. However, his association with the franchise in CPL has been long and prosperous, and his appointment now adds another vital chapter to their relationship. KKR were look-out for an apt mentor since Gambhir left the franchise to take over India's head coach role, and we can expect more announcements from the franchise soon with the roles of bowling and fielding coach are also up for grabs.

Dwayne Bravo brings with him the experience of playing T20 Cricket for almost 18 years, and he is one of the most successful all-rounders in the format. His death-bowling skills were especially appreciated all around the globe, and he has, overall, 631 wickets in 582 matches. He has also scored 6970 runs in the format, so he has the understanding and experience of delivering in all facets of the game, which is expected to help KKR in the upcoming IPL season.
