Rohit Sharma has won an important toss in the second Test against Bangladesh and has decided to bowl first. The toss was delayed for 30 minutes due to wet outfield and the match is now set to start at 10:30 AM IST. India are going with an unchanged XI with the home team going with three seamers again due to overhead conditions and tinge of grass on the pitch.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, have made two changes with Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana out, and Taijul Islam and Khaled Ahmed coming in. So, Bangladesh have opted for an extra spinner in this Test match and contrary to the home team, they are expecting the pitch to assist spinners more than pacers.

Rohit Sharma Becomes First Captain To Bowl In Kanpur After 60 Years

Also, with rain around and the moisture on the surface, Rohit Sharma has taken a bold decision to bowl first at the Green Park, Kanpur. It is just the second instance of team opting to bowl first at this venue after 1964 which tells a lot about the historical nature of the pitch. Also, this is the first time an Indian captain has decided to bowl first in a home Test match since 2015, and it would be interesting to see how things pan out.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, would now need to bat well in the first innings if they want to challenge India in this second Test. They were bowled out for just 150 in the first innings in Chennai and the opening session will once again be crucial for both the teams.
