Varun Chakaravarthy made a memorable comeback against Bangladesh after a gap of three years with some consistent performances. His lines and lengths were immaculate in that series and also in the last edition of the IPL, but he probably stored his best for the South African series in the rainbow nation. In the first game, he bagged three wickets and now in the second T20I, he has picked up a memorable five-wicket haul to stage a tremendous fightback for India.

His fifth wicket was none other than David Miller. It was a sharp delivery from 'round the wicket. On a length, around middle and off, and as Miller tried to defend it, the ball turned away slightly and knocked over the off-pole of the southpaw in style. It was a big, big wicket for India and on the previous delivery itself, he had got the wicket of another match-winner Heinrich Klaasen.

Apart form Klaasen and Miller's wicket, Chakaravarthy also got the big wickets of Aiden Markram and Reeza Hendricks. He also cleaned up Marco Jansen and four of his five wickets have been bowled, tells a lot about his skills and ability to outfox the batters.

His special five-wicket haul reduced South Africa to 66 for 6 in the 13th over and India are in with a great chance to defend a total of 124 they put on the board while batting first. In the first innings, it was Hardik Pandya who took India to a respectable total with his crucial 39 runs whle five South African bowlers picked wicket apiece. India are leading the series after a win in Durban and another victory in this game for the visitors would mean that the home side won't be able to win the four-match series.
