Bangladesh players in the 2nd ODI (Source:@ESPNcricinfo/X.com)
The stage is set for a thrilling decider between Bangladesh and Afghanistan as the Bangla Tigers registered a thumping win in the second ODI to show their mettle in Sharjah. Afghanistan had won the first ODI by a comfortable margin too and both teams would be looking to bring their A-game onto the table in this final game.
Bangladesh made one forced change in the last game with Mushfiqur Rahim out of the series while the second change which was a tactical one of bringing in Nasum Ahmed in place of Rishad Hossain. It worked wonders as Nasum bagged three wickets and scored crucial runs as well. Jaker Ali who came in place of Rahim also played a handy knock of 37 and both of them are likely to retain their place in the XI.
Bangladesh Likely To Go With Experienced Pacers
Their skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto scored a valiant fifty in the last game while most of the other batters also got starts and there is no change expected in their batting arsenal. On the bowling front too, all the bowlers bowled well, but there is a case of bringing in Nahid Rana, the speedster in place of Shoriful Islam. He would provide variety with his genuine pace, but Shoriful too is a quality bowler who has tricks in bags for different junctures of the game. So, expect Bangladesh to go with experience in the decider of the series.
The other two pacers are Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed. Both of them have bowled well and expect them to play this final game too with Bangladesh desperate for a series win against high-flying Afghanistan.
