The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons are up against the St. Lucia Kings in the sixth match of the CPL 2024 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.

The Falcons are coming into this game after three defeats. They were at the bottom of the points table before the start of the game. The Chris Green-led side desperately needs a win to get themselves off the mark. 

The Falcons could have used a good start from their openers; however, that did not happen. The man in form for them, Fakhar Zaman, made a decent start but threw away his wicket in the fifth over of the innings. 

Fakhar Zaman fell to Roston Chase

Faf du Plessis introduced Roston Chase into the attack in the fifth over, and he delivered for him with a wicket in his first over. On the third delivery of the fifth over, Chase tossed up a delivery outside the off stump. Zaman, who was not able to get momentum into his innings, tried to break the shackles in this delivery. He stepped down the track and had a swing at the ball. However, he did not get the connection right, and the ball skied up in the air to be taken by Pierre.

The Falcons kept losing wickets after the departure and never got the innings going. The St. Lucia Kings had the batters strangled and never let them off the block. 

At the time of writing, the Falcons are fighting hard to get to a fighting total. They are currently stationed at 106/4 at the end of 16 overs.
