Yashasvi Jaiswal's rise in world cricket has been a story to behold! The left-hander has eveloved his game with each passing series, and now is one of the few players to score a century in a maiden Test on Australian soil. He looked set for a double-century as well, but ended up losing his wicket to a nothing delivery by Mitchell Marsh in the 94th over.
The Southpaw scored 161 off 297 balls and hit 15 glorious fours in his knock. He blasted three hundreds as well and would be disappointed to miss out on a well-deserved double ton. It was the fifth ball of the 94th over and Mitchell Marsh bowled it short and outside off. Yashasvi sensed an opportunity to hit a boundary and slashed at it hard, without trying to keep it on the ground. He ended up hitting it straight to the point fielder though and Steve Smith took a sharp catch.
