Crowds were filled at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday (March 25) to support their favourite franchise – Royal Challengers Bangalore – in the evening when they were up against Punjab Kings in Match 6 of the IPL 2024.

Their every penny proved to be worth it when Virat Kohli started to play at his vintage best on his way to take his team home.

In a scintillating half-century (at the time of writing this), the highlight of the innings was the way he nonchalantly played a cover-drive against one of the best in the business – Kagiso Rabada.

Coming to chase 177, Kohli had a confident start, and played that one against Rabada to welcome him in the third over. The ace batsman danced down the track to play a hard-length delivery off Rabada and played an exquisite cover-drive, which looked so eye-soothing.

The entire Chinnaswamy erupted after that to applaud the swagger of their beloved hero.

Meanwhile, RCB, chasing 177, still require 59 runs off the final 30 balls to open their account in the IPL 2024. They began with a horrible defeat against CSK in the tournament opener in Chennai, and are desperately looking to register a win here.
