On Tuesday, October 1, India registered an emphatic seven-wicket win over Bangladesh to clean-sweep the series 2-0. The Kanpur Test match will go down in history as one of the best Test matches, as two days of play was interrupted because of rain and despite the lost overs, India pulled off a remarkable win to strengthen their hold at the WTC table.

It was a stellar show from the Indian batters on day 4 as Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal stitched the fastest team fifty in Test cricket history. Further, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul too played important quickfire knocks.

Talking about Virat, he missed his fifty by just three runs and returned to the pavilion with a score of 47 (35), which featured four fours and a solitary six. It was a fiery knock from Virat, but he also faced the heat in Kanpur as a video has gone viral on the internet where the former India skipper suffered from dehydration and had to be treated on the ground.

The medical team came out to attend to Kohli, who sat on the ground as he struggled to face the challenging conditions at the Green Pak Stadium in Kanpur. The medical team seemed to have wrapped a wet cloth around his head to tackle the dehydration.

Virat Kohli Follows Dressing Room Order To Show Intent

In the latest events, India's bowling coach Morne Morkel opened up on the message from the dressing room and stated that the team had asked all the players to show intent and bat with aggression as lot of overs were left to get a result.

"That was our message this morning [to go for a win]. With losing two days of the Test, how do we start this morning? To show that positive intent was going to be key. Two days left in the Test match, extended sessions, there's still a lot of cricket, lot of time left in the game," Morkel said.

India will now shift focus towards the T20I series starting from October 6 in Gwalior.
